1. Who we are
MotifMix, also developed under the name Seamless Patternmaker, is operated by an independent developer based in Poland (“MotifMix”, “we”, “us” or “our”). For personal data processed specifically by MotifMix, we act as the data controller.

2. Scope and Canva
This policy applies to the MotifMix Canva App, its supporting API and workers, and this website. Canva separately controls information it processes for Canva accounts, the editor and its own services. Canva's privacy practices are described in Canva's Privacy Policy.
MotifMix does not require a separate account. The App uses short-lived, signed credentials supplied by Canva to authenticate requests and confirm access to the current user, team and design.
3. Data we process

Information we intentionally exclude from analytics
Product analytics do not contain filenames, image or mask content, Canva asset references, temporary URLs, design identifiers, user-entered text or free-form error messages. This website does not add first-party analytics, advertising trackers or marketing cookies.
4. Why we process data
We process information only where needed for the following purposes and legal bases:
- Provide the Service and fulfil your request: authenticate access, prepare sources, generate layouts and insert results.
- Legitimate interests: secure the Service, enforce fair-use limits, understand aggregate usage, diagnose faults and improve performance. We minimise and pseudonymise data where practical.
- Legal obligations: respond to lawful requests and meet applicable accounting, consumer, security or privacy requirements.
- Consent: where applicable law requires consent for a specific optional activity. We do not currently use data for targeted advertising or email marketing.
6. Retention
- Temporary originals: deleted after Canva ingestion succeeds, with automated cleanup and storage lifecycle rules removing any remainder within approximately 24 hours.
- Collision masks and upload records: removed after approximately 24 hours.
- Pattern jobs, settings, source references, layouts and worker attempts: retained for up to 90 days.
- Pseudonymous product analytics: retained for up to 180 days.
- Security or infrastructure logs: retained according to operational need and provider settings, then deleted or aggregated.
We may retain a record longer where required by law, needed to resolve a dispute or necessary to protect the Service. Where feasible, data is anonymised instead.
7. Security
We use safeguards designed for the nature of the data, including HTTPS, verified Canva credentials, private object storage, short-lived signed URLs, restricted service credentials, input validation, per-user and per-design authorisation, and automatic deletion schedules.
No online service can guarantee absolute security. Please do not send passwords, authentication tokens, private design links or source artwork in a support message unless we specifically request a safe transfer method.
8. Your choices and privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, obtain a portable copy, or complain to a data-protection authority. You may also uninstall the App through Canva at any time.
To make a request, email support@v45.org with “MotifMix data request” in the subject. We may ask you to verify the request through Canva because we do not receive your Canva account email address. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.
Where processing relies on legitimate interests, you may object based on your particular situation. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing.
9. Children
MotifMix is not directed to children independently of Canva. Users must meet Canva's age and account requirements. If you believe a child has provided personal information to MotifMix contrary to applicable requirements, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.
10. International processing
Core application infrastructure is configured in European regions where available. Providers may process data in other countries under their own lawful transfer mechanisms. Where required, we rely on contractual or other recognised safeguards for international transfers.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the App, providers or legal requirements change. The effective date identifies the current version. Material changes will be communicated through an appropriate channel where required.
